Ebook Publishing

I offer a full digital publishing service to all the major devices, including iPad and Kindle.

Here are a small list of things I will need to know:

• How many words/pages/chapters?
• Is the work fiction / non-fiction?
• Is there a glossary / index?
• Do you have a table of contents? Is it required?
• What is the retail price?
• Do you hold copyright for all the content?
• Will you want to give away free copies?
• Regarding the image you have, is it yours, or will it need purchasing / copyright permission for print?
• Do you want to self publish physical copies of the book?
• Does the script have any internal imagery?

Publication, will be for the Amazon Kindle with additional .epub format for all other major digital formats.

I price from £50 for 3hrs work, then £20 p/hr for each hour afterwards (it is unlikely to extend beyond the 3hrs work, and if it does, I will tell you well in advance). We can also agree a fixed price if you prefer that.

Regarding design work, I am a social media professional with 15 years of design and content creation skills using industry standard software from the Adobe Creative Suite and have worked with Sky, Easynet and UK Online. Sample of my own cover artwork is avilable on request as well as some artwork from my partner who is a traditional illustrator.

A question I will also ask you is about marketing your book. A publisher does more than bring a book to print, they bring it to a Market. Many writers I have spoken with, focus on self publishing, but then discover they can’t get enough people to read it… and lets face it, it’s the reading which counts!
