If you wanted Social Media Training for your business or project, for personal or professional use in Wells, Somerset or the South West, where would you look? I decided to do a quick search on Google and see what could be found.

Businesses all over the South West, from Bristol, to Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, Street, Taunton and Weston-Super-Mare are being blasted by contacts at business networks and lunch meets, all being told the same thing: get blogging!

However, whilst blogging is a powerful kickstart to getting your business or project noticed on-line, it’s also full of holes. Here’s a few things that I notice after a business has a blog installed:

• Dull content
• Sporadic posting
• Broadcasting voice
• Copying the competition
• Faceless organisations
• Outsourcing the content
• Concerns about ROI!

Whilst this are the starting point, many many more things start to manifest: troubles with technology, WordPress updates needed?! Panic! Things start to fall apart because a techie says one thing, then leaves you with a website you haven’t been guided on to update.

Very soon, blogging looks like a dull press-release news page, or with comment-less content that no-one reads..

What to do? Call me. Blogging is immense  I train individuals and organisations on what to do, how to do it and why. In just a morning we can have all the (bespoke) basics down, and you can be on your way in climbing the Google charts and having a long-term strategy for your company.

So before you set up a blog – because another social media ‘guru’ tells you you should – ask questions, ask contacts, and ask me. You’ll get a great response and I guarantee you’ll be glad you did.
