I’ve just seen this Tweet on Twitter, and think it’s fantastic:

The Twitter account featured isn’t a personal one for the officer, but one for the entire area/unit. Whilst the tweets aren’t so frequent (only daily, instead of hourly), this approach gets the thumbs up from me. It’s this type of social visibility which should be promoted.
I was somewhere recently (in the South West, UK) and saw a shop door with a huge ‘Facebook’ logo in the window, nothing else, just the logo. Really bad attempt at marketing their business. If I see it again, I’ll grab a photo. I’m really surprised at the number of people who are using social media badly.
